Designed specifically to drive our Type 4825 modal exciter, this amplifier has an adjustable RMS output-current limit that enables it to work with lower-force shakers.

USE SCENARIOS

  • Driving Measurement Exciter Type 4825
  • Driving any modal or vibration exciter that requires a 500 VA power amplifier
  • Powering DC Static Centering Unit Type 1056

CHARACTERISTICS

At full capacity, Type 2720 has a usable frequency range from 40 Hz to 15 kHz and from DC to 150 kHz at reduced capacity. Its maximum voltage gain is 25 dB.

To protect both the test article and the system, it incorporates various built-in warning and safety circuits with light-up indicators. A multifunction LCD display shows output current and voltage. LED signals indicate the amplifier’s status and alert you in case of distortion and temperature and current overloads.

Further protection is provided by an interlock relay that disconnects the input if the operator switches between voltage mode and current mode during operation.

The amplifier can be used as a voltage generator with low output impedance and a flat voltage frequency response. It can also be used as a current generator with high output impedance and a flat current frequency response.
